Pastor Bill Moberly,
Founder & Director
Rev. Bill Moberly is the Director of Awakening Lives to World Missions. He founded ALWM in 2007, while also serving as Director of East European Mission Network (EEMN). ALWM draws on his 25+ years of experience in helping churches across the US with their global mission outreach. He is the author of Igniting a Passion for Missions, a Guide for Church Leaders. He and his wife Sally have been married 45 years. They have seven grown children and seventeen grandchildren. Together they have traveled to nearly 20 countries to share the gospel and equip leaders.
Pastor Tom Curry, Eastern US Area Rep & Director of Pastor to Pastor Teams
Ordained in the United Church of Christ, Rev. Tom Curry joined the clergy roster of the NALC via colloquy in 2014. has been actively involved in ministry for thirty-five years serving two churches in the Midwest followed by five years as residential field missionaries with Friends of Hope. He did his undergraduate education at Taylor University (Upland, Indiana) and Huntington Graduate School of Christian Ministry. He has an M.A. in Global Civilization through William Carey Int. University, Pasadena. In 1997, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity by the India Bible Institute, New Delhi. The Currys have been married more than 40 years. They three children and six grandchildren. They reside in Wabash, IN.
Pastor Matt Shields, Midwest US Area Rep & Director of Young Adult Missionary Internships
Rev. Matt Shields attended Trinity International University (BA in Biblical Studies – 2007) and Luther Theological Seminary (M Div. 2014). He Interned at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (LCMC) in Lodi, CA. Was ordained and served at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (LCMC, Augustana District) as Associate Pastor & Senior Pastor from 2014 – 2018. His global mission experience includes: He and Jacinda served 1 year with Young Adults in Global Missions (ELCA) in South Africa 2008-2009. He also served with Blessman Ministries in 2014. He currently serves on the Augustana District Board of World Missions and was part of the delegation to visit the AD partners of the Tabor congregation in the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (2018). Matt and his wife, Jacinda Shields, currently have three children and have been married 11 years. They reside in Pontiac, IL.
