Three Purposes of BELC Discipleship House:

  1. I want to help each student grow in Christ, building them according to the Word of God, and establishing them in orality curriculum Bible study tools and other resources.

  2. I want to provide a good academic education. They study at a local school, and then are tutored in Bible, English, Math & Science. 

  3. I want to develop them as future leaders, evangelists, pastors of BELC as the Lord leads. 

    • All are young Christians who come from poor tribal families.

    •  They will stay in the hostel for about five years.

    • Monthly support of $55 includes food, accommodation, all school study resources and supplies.

meet the BELC Discipleship House Students:

My name is Rishika Toppo and I am 14 years old. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). I am studying at class eight. I have one younger brother and he is three years old. He lives with my parents in Dhaka. In Dhaka my father works at garment factory as a day labor and my mother is a housewife. My grand-parents lives in village at our house. We have a house in our village and our house made of soil. We have some chickens, ducks, goats and cows. My grand-parents take care of them. I would like to be a doctor in the long run because my future plan is to serve underprivilege communities so they can get good medical services and amenities.

Rishika Toppo

My name is Nondini Oraon and I am 14 years old. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). I am studying at class eight. Our total family members are five. Me, parents, younger brother and grandmother. I have one younger brother and he is three years old. He lives with my parents in my village. My parents work as day labor in the field.  We have four decimal land and our house built on it. Our house is semi-pucca. I would like to be doctor in the long run and my plan is to serve poorest people in our country.

Nondini Oraon

My name is Orin Khalko and I am 14 years old. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). I am studying at class eight. I have an elder sister and she is married. Our total family members are now four. Me, Parents and my grandfather. My father is farmer and mother rural teacher.  We have five bighas land and our house is made of soil. We have few sheep and cows. I would like to be doctor in the long run and my plan is to serve poorest people in our country.

Orin Khalko

My name is Jonaki Oraon and I am 14 years old. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). I am studying at class eight. I have one younger brother and he is three years old. He lives with my parents in my village. My parents work as day labor in the field.  We have four decimal land and our house built on it. Our house is made of soil. We have few goats and cows. I would like to be doctor in the long run and my plan is to serve poorest people in our country.

Jonaki Oraon

My name is Suborna Akka. I am 12 years old and I read in class seven. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). Our total family members are four. I have a younger brother and he lives with my parents in my village. My father is small truck driver and my mother is day labor. We have small land and on it we have house built by soil. We have one cow and nine goats. I would like to be a doctor in the future and I want to serve people freely.

Suborna Akka

My name is Om Leonardo Toppo. I am 15 years old and read in class nine. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). Our total family members are five. I have younger brother and he reads in class three. We have a small land and our house made by soil. My father is working at the BELC as a team member and my mother is a housewife. My grandmother lives in my village alone and there my relatives take care of her. I would like to be a God-fearing person. In the long run I would like to be government first class employee so I can support my family financially through my salary.

Om Leonardo Toppo

My name is Dibbo Hasda. I am 12 years old and I read in class six. I belong to the tribal community (Mahali). Our total family members are four. My parents got divorced and he married with another women. My mother moved to Jordan many years ago for supporting me and she works there as garment worker but she has not been able to return home yet. I live with my grand-parents since my childhood. We have small land and our house built on it and it made by tin. Muslim religious teacher brought me to their school but Swopon sir rescued me and took me at the greenhouse. I like to read Bible and play football. I would like to be a singer in the future so I can preach Jesus through the songs.

Dibbo Hasda

My name is Simon Baske. I am 12 years old and I read in class six. I belong to the tribal community (Mahali). Our total family are three. I would like to be a pastor in the long run. I like to play football. My father is bricklayer and mother is a housewife. We have small land and house built on it by tin. Muslim religious teacher brought me to their school but Swopon sir rescued me and took me at the greenhouse.

Simon Baske

My name is Anonto Kumar. I am 11 years old and I read in class six. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). Our total family members are five. My parents are day labor and works in the field. We have a small land and our house built on it and it is made of soil. We have one cow. I would like to be an honest police officer in the future and want to serve people without any bribe. I like to read about Christianity and play football.

Anton Kumar

My name is Subroto Nunia. I am 12 years old and I read in class seven. I belong to the tribal community (Oraon). Our total family members are four. I have a younger brother. My father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife. We have a small land and our house built on it and it made by soil. We have one cow. I would like to be an engineer in the future and I want support my parents. I like to read Bible and play football.

Subroto Nunia

My name is Sojib Pahan. I am 11 years old and I read in class six. I belong to the tribal community (Pahan). Out total family members are six. I have a younger sister and grandparents. They live with my parents in my village. My father is a farmer and mother is a housewife. We have small land and house built on it. Our house made by soil. We have one cow and two goats. I would like to be a teacher in the future so I can teach children. I like to read about Christianity and play football.

Sojib Pahan

My name is Anonto Hemrom. I am 12 years old and I read in class six. I belong to the tribal community (Mahali). Our total family members are five. I have an elder sister. My father is a day labor and my mother is a housewife. We have a small land and our house built on it and it made by soil. I would like to be a computer engineer in the future and I want support my parents. I like to read Bible and play football.
