2026 Vietnam- Cambodia Mission Team - Update #4
Dear family, prayer supporters, and friends,
Thursday we held our second English Bible Camp in Cambodia, this time at New Life Church in Takeo, one of our ALWM Cambodia member congregations. We were unable to return to our ALWM Mission School up north because of the uncertainty at the Thailand border.
Sally and I have led English Bible Camps like this for the past 22 years in 7 countries from the former Soviet Union and Hong Kong. We had well over 10,000 children and youth attending, hearing the Gospel with many responding in faith, led by hundreds of US team members serving over the years. It is a blessing to offer this ministry tool here with Pastor Sam and his team, even with the extra challenges not faced elsewhere: heat, 50% longer travel times each way (so recruiting tougher), and no summer break from school for students (they are off in September, not June or July!). We thank the Lord for what is happening this year!
We had just under 40 students aged 9-13 in three classes today. Here are some pictures of our first day! The children had a wonderful time as we gathered for Bible lessons, English conversation, music, crafts, games, preparing a skit of a bible story to present to family on the last day, and more.
Thank you for your continued prayers over next two days, that the Lord will sow and water many seeds!
Writing on behalf of the team,
Yours in Christ,
Bill
