2026 Vietnam- Cambodia Mission Team - Final Update #5

Dear prayer supporters. family, and friends,

It’s Tuesday, June 23 in Phnom Penh, about a hour from Takeo where we held the English Bible Camp June 18-20. Half the team has headed back to Minneapolis, and the rest of us fly out in about 7 hours.

It was a busy and fruitful last few days! We wrapped up the English Bible Camp Saturday afternoon with about 45 children attending. It was a blessed time packed into three days, with some Cambodia heat thrown in:). The final 1 1/2 hours the electricity was down in the area, taking with it our fans and limited a/c. But everyone was undaunted by the extra challenge as they worked on Bible lesson skits to present, shared the final day’s Bible teaching about the death and resurrection of Jesus, and much more! As Arun, one of the ministry leaders and helpers said, “many seeds were planted and God will use this in many lives!

The ALWM Cambodia Facebook page posted this:

A big thank you to Pastor Bill and his team for creating the English Bible Camp for our congregation. Creating fun, learning, fellowship for our church children's group. God bless you teachers and team🙏❤️🙏 see you next time by the grace of God””

Thank you Pastor Bill, Sally, Pastor Carol, Karen, Bella, Lydia, Hunter and TJ 🙏❤️🙏”

Sunday morning we worshipped at New Life Church with Pastor Mitt, the site of the English Bible Camp, and one of our ALWM Cambodia churches! I was blessed to bring the message from God’s Word: “Three Little Words That Change Everything” We were warmly welcomed and there were many hugs from the children. Pastor Sam shared some books and gifts for each one from the team !A special moment was the big hug for Karen with many tears from one of the young girls in her class!

Monday we also took some time for good sharing and debriefing, looking back at our two weeks together! We also had a nice time with Pastor Sam before heading home. Many echoed similar sentiments :

  • The effective ministry that goes on through the year in Vietnam and Cambodia that they have now seen and experienced a bit firsthand!

  • Many were Blessed by the testimonies and servanthood of Dr Hang, David Tran and the team in Vietnam; and Pastor Sam and his team here in Cambodia. “Some of the Nicest people I have ever met in my whole life!”

Some of the team members tried fried tarantulas while we explored Sunday night! Just so you know, it’s NOT a requirement:). Nobody said “tastes like chicken”! (Below)

Please pray for safe travel back home! Hunter probably spoke for the group as he texted me from the airport:“Can't wait to tell everyone about it!”

Please also pray for the Lord to water the seeds planted in our work along side Pastor Sam and his team, and the previous week in Vietnam with Dr Hang, David and the team!

Pray with us also for the seeds of growth and change He is stirring in our lives as a result of this trip!

Thanks for your prayers for the 2026 ALWM Mission team! It was an amazing time! I want to express one more time my personal heartfelt “Thank You” to Bella, Lydia, Karen, Pastor Carol, Hunter, TJ and Sally for answering the call! We couldn’t do this without people who say “yes I will go!” who then gave of their time, talents and treasures to be here!

To God be the Glory!
